Knight Theme

Over the past few weeks, Beavers have been following a knight theme as part of the Scouting Join in Centenary.

Beavers have gone mad with the tin foil and glue and have created a wonderful selection of swords, shields, helmets and tabards.

To finish off the Knight Theme we held a Knights Tournament, where Beavers came dressed in their tabards and took part in knight training activities including an assault course, Knight Tig and Knight, Knight Dragon games.

Beavers paraded the flag before the Beaver king who judged the competitions to make sure there was no cheating!

Finally Beavers assembled around the Round Table where they enjoyed a delicious Knights Banquet of Giants Sausages with Dragons Blood and Chalices of fizzing juices.

St Georges Day Parade

Beavers dressed as knights again to take part in the St Georges Day Parade in Accrington on Sunday 22nd April 2007.

Beavers joined in the parade which was led by St George on his horse.
