One wet and windy day 100 Beavers set off on coaches to Blackpool Tower on the Hyndburn District Beaver Trip.
On arrival at the tower, with no sick buckets needed on the journey, we found the high winds meant we could not go to the tower top.
Not to worry, we set off for the Sea Life Centre, just a short stroll up the sea front. Beavers loved being able to touch the some of the fishes, not sure whether the fish felt the same about the Beavers though.
Battling very strong winds again, we headed back for a play in Jungle Jim's at the tower, before heading off to see Mooky the Clown in the Tower Circus Pantomime, "Mookys off to see the Wizard!"
A brilliant day, enjoyed by all and there were some very tired little people on the way home.

Visit to Accrington Fire Station
Beavers visited Accrington Fire Station in November 2011 for a behind
the scenes tour.
Beavers were able to climb aboard the engines and have a look inside.
The fireman were really good at explaining to the Beavers what happened when there was a fire and showed them lots of equipment which was kept on the engines such as cutting equipment which could cut through a car if people were trapped inside.
The firemen made a special call to the operations centre and a message came back saying that there was a fire at All Saints Beavers. Fortunately it was only to show Beavers what happens when a 999 call is made and there was no fire at All Saints.
There were 4 engines in the fire station when we visited including one which is a lift used for rescuing people from high buildings.
Beavers were also given the task of knocking over a traffic cone with a high pressure hose. It was great fun, but only one Beaver managed to knock the cone down.
