Beavers joined 300 other Beavers from all across East Lancashire at Bowley Scout Camp in September 2011 to celebrate 25 Years of Beaver Scouting.
Beavers took part in lots of activities including making some fab party buns, made with chocolate spread and lots of different sprinkles, they looked yummy!
There was a circus skills activity base, where Beavers were able to test out their circus skills, balancing plates, diablos.
After Circus skills , Beavers were entertainer by a children's entertainer who kept them very amused for an hour with silly stories and a punch and judy show.
Beavers fishing for ducks, followed by
an enormous bouncy slide and party piƱatas filled with sweets.
Party games including musical chairs and pass the parcel.
One of our Beavers was celebrating his own birthday, so brought a cake along to share with his Beaver friends.

Beaver Healthy Eating Badge, Health and Fitness Badge and Fitness Challenge
We set our Young Leaders a challenge to organise activities which would cover the Beaver Healthy Eating Badge, Health and Fitness Badge and Fitness Challenge and wow have they done us proud!!!
Young Leaders are asked to complete various missions to complete their training and these activities incorporated Mission 1 where they had to organise 3 indoor meetings.
Over a period of three weeks, the Young Leaders arranged for our Beavers do lots of activities to cover the three badges including making fruit smoothies, with lots of lovely fresh fruit including strawberries and bananas. Yum they went down a treat!!!
Beavers also played lots of fruit themed games including fruit salad using the parachute.
Beavers also made fruit kebabs which were cocktail sticks loaded with
all kinds of different fruit, which also went down a treat!!!
Beavers also played a game where they had to try and guess the type of fruit they were eating without being able to see it.
Beavers also made some unusual sandwiches in the form of pinwheels, which looked delicious and were cleverly designed by the Young Leaders to encourage even the fussiest eaters to eat their salad.
Both colonies covered the same badges and pictured are Beavers from both meetings.

New Beaver Colony & Experiment Badge
The demand for places at Beavers led us to the decision to open on a second evening to provide extra places for children wishing to join Beavers.
Pictured below are the new Beavers enjoying their first explosive experience of Beaver style experiments. We made slime (as pictured), an explosion when coke met mentos, vinegar volcanoes and many more besides.
A fantastic first night, enjoyed by all including the leaders and the Beavers even earned their first badge, which was of course the Experiment Badge.
